In January we held a visioning session at our monthly CET meeting. Participants pinpointed a community need that they feel merits the attention of a new Community Engagement Team. So this month we are delighted to launch the Civic Involvement & Training CET! We hope that you will join us at the Bismarck Library next Wednesday and participate in creating a great future for Natives in our community!
You don’t need any expertise, education, experience or background to serve on a CET—just a commitment to American Indian people and causes. We now have four different teams, each focused on issues important to Natives in the Bismarck-Mandan area:
- American Indian Youth Issues
- Cultural and Spiritual Events
- American Indian Health Issues
- Civic Involvement & Training
You’ll also have the chance to win tickets to see the premiere of Neither Wolf Nor Dog, starring Dave Bald Eagle, Christopher Sweeney, and Richard Ray Whitman. Opening March 31st in Bismarck!
As always, there will be refreshments, updates on local activities for families and youth, door prize drawings, and a movie for the kids. Come join us, everybody is welcome!
