We are so proud of SPRC’s first group of Wounded Healers! We’ve spent the last six weeks on a healing journey with each other, learning from and about each other; learning about natural health practices; learning and sharing the beauty of our traditional cultural ways.

The Wounded Healers program is designed for American Indian community members who are seeking healing, exploration, and self-awareness. Using traditional spiritual practices and basic techniques from the Center for Mind Body Medicine, over the course of six weeks participants learn healing practices from the CMBM and participate in traditional healing. They engage in discussion groups and learn basic tools for self-healing, dealing with stress, soothing, self-awareness and self-control, as well as learning about the science behind our historical trauma and how to facilitate post-traumatic growth.

Watch for upcoming opportunities to participate or become a Wounded Healer!
