Burleigh County Senior Adults Program

The Bismarck Senior Center is located at 315 North 20th Street. The Burleigh County Senior Adults Program organizes, develops, and coordinates services and activities for adults age 60 and older. The Senior Center is a user-friendly source of information, services, and activities for successful living.

Hours: Monday–Friday .... 10AM-4PM

Services include:

  • Nutritional Meals: Congregate meals are served at noon, M-F, in Bismarck at the Senior Center and at Crescent Manor. Meals are provided on a reservation basis. Reservations need to be made a day in advance. Menus are published monthly in The Senior Sentinel newsletter and on the website, and weekly in the Bismarck Tribune.

  • Options Counseling: Options counseling is a resource for individuals and families who need help locating programs and services to assist them in living independently in their homes and in the community. Options counseling involves helping individuals identify their goals and preferences, review each of the options available, and encourages planning for future long-term support needs.
  • Health Maintenance: Health Maintenance is a combination of services that address the unique cares and concerns of aging adults. Two licensed nurses are on staff at the Senior Center to provide foot care, medication set-up, blood pressure checks and fasting blood sugar checks. Services are offered at the Senior Center and in the home. The nurses' schedule is published in The Senior Sentinel Appointments for health maintenance services may be scheduled by calling 255-4648.
  • Transportation: To arrange a bus ride to the Center, call Bis-Man Transit at 223-9001. Ride reservations need to be made 24 hours in advance.
