Whether it is for you, as a new mom yourself, or a gift for that special expecting someone in your life, this class will help you create an amulet for keeping baby’s umbilical cord safe. The session will be led by Emma Goodhouse-Doll, who will also provide information about the practice and meaning.
Classes are open to youth and adults ages 12 and up. You must commit to attending all of the days in the class to finish the project.
Dates: January 22, 23, 24, 29 & 30, 2019.
The cost of the classes is $25.00 per participant, due at the first class. This fee will cover all materials, refreshments, and food provided. Native youth under the age of 17 are FREE.
Native Artists United (NAU) and the Sacred Pipe Resource Center are providing a series of American Indian Art classes in the fall of 2018 and spring of 2019, with support from First Nations Development Institute. Classes are led by local expert Native artists, members of NAU.
