In the Best Interest: Introduction to the Indian Child Welfare Act

  • Understand the spirit and intent of the law and how it relates to the cultural worldviews of American Indian families
  • Be able to utilize the information in family and youth support plans

Who should attend: Social workers, guardian ad litems, ICWA workers, youth advocates, mental health professionals, family counselors, addiction professionals, domestic violence advocates, public health professionals, teachers and guidance counselors, community non-profit leaders, parents, and others who work with American Indian youth.
