January 27, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 12:30 pm

The Elephant & the Giraffe: The Story of Diversity Management

This workshop uses the story of the elephant and the giraffe to help managers, supervisors, and human resource professionals reflect upon the dynamics of managing a diverse workforce. As the city, the state, and the entire country becomes more diverse, how do we continue to grow healthy and successful organizations? Principles in this session will help make diversity an asset rather than a challenge.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the hidden rules in an organizational environment
  • Articulate ways in which diversity impacts organizations negatively and positively
  • Apply lessons for managing diversity successfully

Who should attend: Managers, supervisors, human resource professionals, non-profit leaders, other leaders interested in examining how diversity impacts organizations and our world.

The cost is $50 to attend. Please visit the Registration page to sign up for the event and for payment details. We are now able to accept payments online!

Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.

The Cultural Competency Workshop Series is a service of SPRC for professionals in the Bismarck-Mandan area working with and in American Indian populations. CEUs are provided where possible.
