Being Poor vs. Poverty: Navigating the Hidden Rules

Examining—from a Native perspectve—the concepts of being poor and poverty. Is there a difference? Understanding the hidden rules of poverty and how they relate to cultural value systems will help service providers work more effectively with Native children and families.

The Cultural Competency Workshop Series is a service of SPRC for professionals in the Bismarck-Mandan area working with and in American Indian populations. CEUs are provided where possible.
