Awesome News! Our friends at Running Strong for American Indian Youth have just opened applications for the third year of the Dreamstarter™ grant program.
The program jumpstarts Native youths’ dreams by providing ten $10,000 grants to teams of Native youth and mentor organizations who work together to bring the young person’s dream project to life. Applications are now open for the 2017-2018 grant period for projects around the theme of Education. This is a terrific opportunity to grow leadership skills, get support for a dream project, and join a prestigious cohort of Dreamstarter™ fellows. American Indian youth between ages 14 and 30 are encouraged to apply.
The Sacred Pipe Resource Center would love to be a mentor organization for a local youth interested in furthering a dream! We partnered with 2016 Dreamstarter™ grant-winner Kelsey Tortalita, of Mandan, ND, and are helping to make her dream, Thuswecha Beading & Cultural Academy, a reality!
