The second Grandmother Earth Camp of the summer was a visit to Standing Rock. It was another opportunity for youth to learn about our environment, Native science, and traditional knowledge.

We started a beautiful day with a quick nature walk and a presentation from Cody Two Bears of Indigenized Energy about efforts to convert to solar energy. We heard from LaDonna Brave Bull Allard and Mr. John Buckley, who shared stories and history and knowledge of this area. After an awesome lunch, we ended the day with a painting project. Whew!

A big THANK YOU to Indigenized Energy, LaDonna Brave Bull Allard, Mr. John Buckley, Gail, and to the youth for participating!
