The Leave the Couch project got off to a great start today! We had fun playing sand volleyball and longboarding at Pioneer Park, and then at cooking class at the BisMan Community Food Co-op where we learned to make wild rice soup, snacks and smoothies!

Thanks to the youth who came out to enjoy the day!

Leave the Couch is a healing-centered engagement project, vision and work of Samira and S’Nya Sanchez. Each date features a different dish to learn—and even better, EAT!—and a FREE and fun physical activity to do. Youth who attend at least 9 events total will receive a cash incentive!

Our next event is Saturday, July 20—cooking at the BisMarket and a private session of Paintball! Space is limited at this event so youth must contact SPRC to RSVP!
