The Government-to-Government Misnomer

This session will examine the recent development of Tribal governments and profile the current structures in most modern Tribal nations. This session will help participants understand the cultural dynamics that influence the success or failure of inter-governmental relationships.

Upon completion of this session, participants will:

  • Understand the cultural worldview that influences Native humor
  • Understand the nuances of humor in building relationships
  • Navigate interpersonal relationships through cultural awareness

Who should attend: Mental health professionals, social workers, addiction counselors, residential treatment professionals, youth group home professionals, juvenile justice professionals, school counselors, service providers, non-profit leaders, and others.

Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.
